Accreditation Readiness Support for Certification and Licensure Programs
Earning accreditation for your certification or licensure program is one of the most important steps your organization can take — and one of the most demanding. The standards are rigorous, the documentation requirements are exacting, and the stakes for your program's credibility are high.
For many of the programs we serve, accreditation readiness support is a natural extension of the work we do together. Whether we have partnered with you on a Job Task Analysis (JTA), test development, or broader program design, The Caviart Group brings the expertise and institutional knowledge to help you approach your accreditation with confidence.

What We Bring to Your Accreditation Process
The Caviart Group's team includes an ANSI-certified examination auditor with extensive experience designing and evaluating all types of testing programs. Our principals collectively bring more than 60 years of experience in professional credentialing — and an intimate working knowledge of the standards your accrediting body will apply.
We work with programs pursuing accreditation under the most widely recognized standards in professional credentialing, including:
NCCA — National Commission for Certifying Agencies The NCCA's Standards for the Accreditation of Certification Programs represent the national benchmark for voluntary certification programs across a wide range of industries, from healthcare and counseling to skilled trades and emergency response.
ANSI/ISO 17024 The international standard for personnel certification bodies, administered in the United States through the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB). A new edition was released in 2026 — programs currently pursuing or maintaining accreditation should ensure their documentation reflects the updated requirements.
How We Support Your Readiness
Because accreditation touches every aspect of your program, from how your JTA was conducted to how your exam is developed, scored, and maintained, our support is tailored to where you are in the process and what your program needs most. We support programs through the accreditation process, helping them understand requirements, identify gaps, and build the documentation needed for a strong application.

FAQ
Do you have more questions about Accreditation Readiness Support? Here are answers to some of the most common questions.
-
Accreditation readiness support helps certification and licensure programs evaluate their current practices against the requirements of their target accrediting body and address any gaps before submitting an application. It may include reviewing existing documentation, assessing examination development practices, and ensuring that studies such as your Job Task Analysis meet accreditation standards.
-
This depends on your profession, your program's goals, and the expectations of your stakeholders. NCCA is the most widely recognized standard for voluntary certification programs in the United States. ANSI/ISO 17024 carries strong international recognition and is increasingly required by government agencies and industry partners. APA Standards apply broadly as a psychometric benchmark. We can help you evaluate which accreditation, or combination of accreditations, makes the most sense for your program.
-
Yes. All major accreditation bodies require that your examination content be based on scientific evidence as to the knowledge, skill and ability required to do the job of the profession. If your test is based on a JTA conducted by The Caviart Group, it was designed from the outset to meet these standards. If you are bringing an existing JTA to the process, we can evaluate whether it will satisfy your accrediting body's requirements.
